Alveplac walkway helps upgrade facilities
We recently donated some Alveplac Ground Support Grids to Meadow Park FC in Bromsgrove.
Meadow Park FC are a community status, chartered standard club playing out of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, UK. The club comprises of over 15 teams, boys and girls with age ranges from u8’s through to adult men’s and ladies’ teams. Their home ground boasts six pitches which are widely recognised as the best in the county.
They were looking to develop their facilities by rehabilitating a walkway which had become a mud path through years of high-level footfall. We donated enough Alveplac ground support grids so that they could turn the old path into a new gravel trail, suitable for walking and wheelchair access.
The gravel stabilising mat has a geotextile base which provides a quick and simple method of creating a firm but permeable gravel platform for gardens, pathways, driveways and parking areas for pedestrian and light vehicle use. It allows creation of a permeable and stable gravel path, driveway or parking area which only requires a depth of 1-2 cm of gravel on the surface, meaning any walkway is wheelchair friendly. The geotextile base allows water to quickly drain and prevents weed growth. Mats clip together on all four sides preventing separation and can be easily cut to shape.
