Seasons Greetings!

This year we have been thinking outside the box in terms of festive customer gift giving! Although we operate internationally, we are heavily rooted in the North East and we are all too aware of the impact the increased cost of living is having on our local community.

Alongside our vacuum forming operation we are one of the UKs leading suppliers of plastic packaging solutions including euro containers and plastic pallets. This year instead of customer cards and gifts we only thought it right to instead fill two of our pallets for our local food bank.  The grateful recipient of this donation was Durham Foodbank ran by the Durham Christian Partnership, who supply the foodbanks in our imminent area including Bishop Auckland, West Auckland and Shildon. We are pleased to say the pallet weighed in at 180kg and will provide 225 meals!

Freddy Bourdais, our co-founder and sales director at Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd (PMN) headed down with the pallets this week and had the chance to see the operation first hand.

Freddy said:

“This year has been a challenging year for many in our local community and instead of our usual customer gifting we wanted to think outside the box and our mass of pallets that surround us daily came to mind.

The donation was gratefully received, and we are in talks to develop the pallet drop further to become a more regular occurrence in collaboration with local businesses and we look forward to rolling these plans out soon.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish our partners and clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to working together in 2023.”

2022 has been a strong and steady year at PMN and the ethos at the heart of the company is that ‘we never stand still’. As an industry innovator established for over 20 years at our expansive Bishop Auckland site, we have benefited from strong growth, through leveraging our collaborative and innovative capabilities, alongside assessing new market opportunities, working on some exciting and high-profile projects along the way.
